The Central Ohio Ronald McDonald House provides much needed comfort, support and resources to families who travel far from home to obtain medical care for their children.
In keeping with one of the principal tenants of Freemasonry, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 the Brothers of St. Mark's Lodge No. 7 provided relief to the community by preparing, and serving food to the families at the Central Ohio Ronald McDonald House:
On 23 July 2022, Unity Lodge #115 hosted the 4th Masonic District’s Master Mason Degree at the Masonic Temple, 2531 Germantown Street, Dayton Ohio. We were honored to have in attendance, the Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master Robert Estelle, Right Worshipful Grand Lecturer Eric J Kidd Sr. and Junior Warden Cisco Moore of Mt Calvary #76. Also in attendance was 4th Masonic District Deputy, Right Worshipful Villani "V.J." Thomas, as well as a host of other Grand Lodge Officers.
We had 11 newly raised Brothers from the various lodges within the district, and the degree team was highly proficient in their work. The event was well attended by the lodges of the district, and the newly raised Brothers were treated to an outstanding lecture presented by Right Worshipful Ronald Ogletree, with the assistance of PM George Goosby on lecture slides. Pictures of the event are posted in the Grand Lodge Photo Gallery as well as attached below

Operation: Feed the Needy (Community Feast)
On 20 November 2021, Ecclesiastes Lodge #120 hosted the "Annual Feed the Needy, Community Meals" with the support of the Four Symbolic Lodges, and the O.E.S. Chapters of Cleveland.
The organizations partnered together and provided over 225 hot meals that were distributed to the Kappa House, Union Square Senior Citizen Home, Men’s Shelter and within the Mt. Pleasant Community.
The meals prepared by the brothers and sisters included turkey, ham, macaroni and cheese, dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans, cobbler, mixed vegetables, rolls, cake, cookies, and a variety of snacks. We were honored to assist those in need and serve our community.
A special thanks to the PM Charles Tucker #120 and his committee for their planning along with

On behalf of the Andrew J. Rickoff School community, I want to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation of your very generous donation of hats and gloves.
They will help keep our youngest scholars warm on the walk to and from school--and of course outside on the playground.
I would like to further take the time to explore our community partnership with the Masonic Lodge on Kinsman and connect you with two of our school-based teacher leaders and family support specialist.
Diana Gatson is a kindergarten teacher, and organizer for our Black Professional Day.
Chesiree Jackson is our Family Support Specialist.
Thank you again and with m sincerest gratitude.
Sincerely,
Shelby Schutt

Calvary Lodge #76, , Phoenix Lodge#112, Zerubbabel Chapter #40 RAM, and AL Kaf Temple #109, all participated in The K.I.N.G Movement’s 2021 community service kick-off, “Return to School Breakfast.” Multiple families from each Buchtel Cluster School were invited to Crouse Community Learning Center (Crouse C.L.C) for this recognition celebration. The morning began with a hearty breakfast, then a brief introduction of the K.I.N.G movement and its purpose. Dr. Jashan Jabbaar-Hill, of Akron Children’s Hospital was the keynote speaker. Deacon Johnny Blash, a long-time volunteer at Crouse CLC, was recognized for his commitment to young people, and his longtime service to the Akron community. The morning ended with a presentation of back to school items. Mt Calvary#76 thanks all Masonic Families who were involved in making this a great success.

The Masonic District's brothers and sisters worked together to make a difference. The brothers of Excelsior Lodge No. 11, their sister chapter Queen Elizabeth Chapter No. 9 and two volunteers collaborated for an Adopt-A-Highway clean-up on Saturday, June 5, 2021. We rendered this service under the umbrella of the MWPHGL of Ohio at the "Troy Lee James Highway", the area of Interstate 490 numbered 71-90 in the west and 77 in the east. The area was named in memory of former Excelsior Lodge Brother Troy Lee James on March 19, 2003. Troy Lee James (April 18, 1924 - November 1, 2007), a former laborer and union member, was the longest-serving Democrat in the Ohio House of Representatives at the time of his death, serving from 1967-2000. Following the establishment of term limits in 1992, he was ineligible to run for office in 2000. He left the House in 2000, after 34 years in the legislature, making him the longest-serving Democrat in the history of the Ohio General Assembly. We hope and pray that we have made him proud.
